Context

Thanks to a policy of integrating vulnerable individuals, BRUNEAU, a subsidiary of GROUPE 3SI, continues its active social policy approach. After more than 30 years of action in favor of its disabled employees, Bruneau has obtained encouraging results.

Objectives

  •  Better integrate disabled employees
  •  Keep employees who are being reclassified

APPROACH

This type of commitment is a real challenge for companies because they must approach the issue willingly along with concrete and sustainable actions.  BRUNEAU has adapted their daily management in a customized way for disabled employees, particularly the adaptation of the workplace to their disability or the establishment of appropriate training in the process of reclassification.  The system works as follows:

  • Skills assessment
  • Training for new careers
  • Preparation for integration into the team
  • Individual follow up during the integration
  • Adaptation of the workplace and schedules if necessary

CONTRIBUTION TO COMPANY PERFORMANCE

  •  Increased solidarity within teams : The integration of a disabled person changes the functioning of teams and individuals who put their own perspective their own problems and are more attentive towards others.
  •  Bruneau chooses not to take the easy way out by paying legally required contributions, and instead found a way to actively participate in the citizen integration policy through management which respects individuals

Benefits

  •  Employment rate of around 7% of the total (53.43 “beneficiary units” in the manner of legal calculations) workforce, which represents 39 disabled employees (victims of physical, mental, or psychological disabilities).
  • Most are former employees who, due to illness, accident, or some type of frailty have benefited from a reclassification process.
  • Disability rates since 2007: +8%
