Context

GDF SUEZ Group subsidiary ENDEL employs nearly 6,000 people in France in the industrial maintenance and related-services industry (installation and renovation of equipment, facility transfers and dismantling, and operational logistics support).
In June 2008, a two-year contract was signed between ENDEL and AGEFIPH (National Association Managing Funds for Hiring Persons with Disabilities), which was followed in 2010 by the signing of a new two-year contract.

Objectives

Develop long-term integration of employees with disabilities and promote their maintained employment.  

APPROACH

- Commitment during the second contract to hire 15 persons with disabilities and undertake 20 measures in favor of their maintenance in complex positions.
- Training of instructors (HR and QPE network officials) for all personnel to ensure their familiarity with this contract and apply it as a cross-service project.
- Work with occupational and environmental health doctors to prepare for the return of employees demonstrating incapacity.
- Work with customers in this area to carry out collaborative measures.
- Work with those concerned in all areas of company activity, in particular the company’s core activities.

CONTRIBUTION TO COMPANY PERFORMANCE

- Maintenance of Group skills, compliance with regulations, concrete illustration of GDF SUEZ social responsibility commitment.
