Context

Google, a company specialized in Internet services, ensures its development by investing in the satisfaction and well-being of its employees.  Established in California, a state and sector of industry that consumes a lot of energy, the company makes their employees loyal through their exemplary investment in environmental protection. 

Objectives

APPROACH

The benefits available to employees at their place of work are numerous:

- Wages higher than competitors and high incentive schemes

Beyond these advantages, the company’s commitment to the environment is a matter of pride and furthermore of loyalty. Following the 2008 crisis, the collapse of share prices, and the dissatisfaction of a number of employees going to work for competitors, Google decided in 2009 to install 9,212 solar panels to generate 30% of its electricity needs at their headquarters.
