Context

Kbane implements sustainable solutions for a healthier, more economical and more environmentally-friendly home, in accompanying homeowners with their sustainable projects (diagnosis, recommendations, solutions and systems) assisted by their team of eco-coaches and experts. Kbane offers at its store in Marquette-Lez-Lille (59) a broad product offering of self-service and support for these projects.

The technical nature of these products requires a great deal of new and innovative teaching approaches.

Objectives

Having information content understood by a 10-year-old child, i.e. by raising curiosity and interest, and simplifying the comprehension of technical subjects.

APPROACH

At Kbane, educational training focuses on the proper application, amounts and testing of new products. The use of various games and teaching aids allows testing on one's own the thermal and acoustic qualities of a window, the operation of a heat pump system, the performance of double-flow ventilation, insulation functionality, etc.

Workshops (held up to 8 times a month), conferences, dedicated educational days, film screenings are also held regularly to relay various topics related to sustainable housing. Accessible, often free of charge and without any marketing pressure (consisting of manufacturing one's cleaning products, building a scarecrow using recycled products, etc.), these workshops are highly interactive and, in some cases, clients are placed in charge of the proceedings.

The teaching aids are numerous: films, informative leaflets.

Kbane has laid out a special path for playful children in the store to discover the site's advanced developments. The children's area also offers a fun way of doing simple things to be replicated at home.

To complete this educational effort, transparency is required with a voluntary environmental labeling that indicates the environmental performance, health and economic value of the proposed product in addition to the number of miles the product has had to travel.

Customers are provided all the information to choose the product that suits them with the least environmental impact
