Context

Dolphin is an innovative ICT consulting firm specializing in computer network design & development, remote access support and enhanced virtual office. Dolphin identified the potential of utilizing technology to facilitate a level playing field, and designed a barrier free employment solution for people with disabilities. 

Objectives

  • True accessibility means the opportunity for an individual to reach their full potential; to fully participate socially, economically, and culturally.
  • To strategically hire the best person for the job who would least likely be hired by someone else- proving true potential.

APPROACH

Dolphin developed and integrated ViTAS, Virtual Technical Assessment Solution, in order to facilitate barrier free interviewing processes and evaluate actual skills.

Integrated our virtual office model and modified internal processes to create an accessible and inclusive environment for staff to function in a collaborative workspace. 

Documented identified business case metrics of hiring people with disabilities in order to advocate the benefits to other businesses.

Initiated a Disabilities Mentoring Day in order to help educated employers of the opportunity that exists within the untapped talent pool of people with disabilities. It also provide mentees with access to business acumen and environment, for many who have never had work experience.
