Bonduelle strengthens how it measures its CSR indicators using Group software

1. Organizational Governance

Strategy and organization

Context

Bonduelle, the world leader in ready-to-eat vegetables, has a sales presence in 100 countries and has 58 company-owned agricultural production and industrial sites.
The company manages its CSR policy with consolidated reporting at group level of around 150 indicators, 60 of which are published, reported by 10 countries in 9 languages. To optimise the process, Bonduelle wanted to put in place a new IT tool to measure its performance: METRIO®

Objectives

  •  Optimise the process for reporting the group's CSR indicators
  •  Promote the internal benchmark for good practices by monitoring CSR performance per factory

APPROACH

Each year CSR reporting involves around 200 employees in the Bonduelle group's main business lines. The new IT tool was rolled out over 9 months with the aim of being operational for 2013-2014 reporting. It was implemented in the following stages:

  • Consultation of the parties involved to identify needs and the relevance of the indicators
  • Selection of a provider and a Canadian tool, Metrio®
  • Development of the tool to deal with Bonduelle specifics
  • Training of the 200 contributors and commissioning of the tool

Metrio® enables each factory to analyse its results immediately and make internal comparisons. This benchmark enables good practices to be shared

CONTRIBUTION TO COMPANY PERFORMANCE

  •  Optimising the reporting process: saving time and increasing reliability
